Outside School Care Association (OSCA)
The Greenslopes Outside School Hours Care program is known as OSCA. It provides quality before and after school care, vacation care and care on student free days. Children are welcome to attend on a permanent or casual basis.
The OSCA building is located next to the multi-purpose court on the school grounds. It is open Monday to Friday for before school care from 6.45 am-8.45 am and for after school care from 3.00 pm to 6.00 pm. During vacations and on student free days, the service is available from 7.00 am to 6.00 pm.
Prep and Year 1 children are picked up directly from the classroom for after school care. In the morning, these children are also walked to their classrooms. Breakfast and afternoon tea are also provided.
OSCA provides a range of supervised activities catering for all interests and age groups. Activities include sport and games, art and craft, cooking, computer club and swimming. Quiet time is also available for homework or reading activities. Wherever possible, excursion and visits from special interest groups are organised during vacation care. We are part of the 'Active After School' program and have specialised sporting activities.
You must enrol at OSCA before using the service. This applies for any casual bookings or permanent bookings. Child care benefit is available to eligible families.
The OSCA service has been accredited since 2005 and rated high quality in all 8 quality areas. The accreditation process focuses on aspects such as correct documentation, activities provided to children as well as building and services. Passing the audit with such distinction is no easy task. It is only possible because of the hard work and diligence of all the staff at OSCA who continue to set and maintain an exceptionally high standard of care for our children.
