On Wednesday the 26th June our school community, led by the Active School Travel Team, dressed up in their pyjamas to come to school.
Instead of the normal gold coin donation, on this occasion the Active School Travel Team asked students to donate books to give to the Pyjama Foundation.
The Pyjama Foundation aims to help provide literacy and literature resources for children in out of home care. Reading is very important to us at Greenslopes and this is a great way for us to spread our love of reading to all members of our community.
Our Active School Travel team has enjoyed a very busy term with Scooter training for our Prep to Year Two students and Bike Skills training for our students in Years 3 to 6.
In all our school community donated 8 cartons of books to the Pyjama Foundation.
Great job Greenslopes!
